St. Louis, Mo., August, 15, 2012 – Streib Electric Co. of south St. Louis County, is among 11 businesses and two charities that will be presented with BBB TORCH Awards for exceptional ethical business practices and customer service from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Serving Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois on Nov. 2.
Tom Streib worked in the electrical trade for nine years before starting Streib Electric Co., a BBB Accredited Business since 2005. Along the way, he’s learned to put service first.
Employees are expected to do small things like picking up newspapers in the driveway as well as to present a cheerful face to customers and park where they won’t inconvenience homeowners. Streib holds regular meetings to review safety and performance and to praise recent successes.
Streib also asks employees to embrace the company’s mission statement: “To develop, grow and create opportunity through superior quality and customer service.”
The BBB will present the TORCH Awards at a luncheon on Friday, Nov. 2 at the Chase Park Plaza. Tickets for the luncheon are available at $50 a person, or $500 for a table of 10. Patron tables for 10 are available for $1,500. Reservations can be made by calling 314-645-0606 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
