St. Louis, Mo., September 30, 2009 – The Gutter Cover Co. of St. Louis, based in St. Peters, is among two charities and ten businesses who are winners of TORCH Awards for exceptional ethical business practices from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Serving Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois.

Jim Maneage and his wife, Staci, encourage customers to contact the BBB before hiring them or any other company. As a BBB Accredited Business, they know they’ll look good to their customers. But they don’t rest on their laurels.

The couple, who run The Gutter Cover Company dealer/distributorship for the St. Louis area, say their motto is to “treat everybody how we would like to be treated.” Maneage visits every job site, and each customer is given a critique form after the job is completed. The company responds to any problem within 24 hours, he said.

The BBB will present the TORCH Awards at a luncheon on Friday, Oct. 30 at the Chase Park Plaza. Tickets for the luncheon are available at $40 a person, or $400 for a table of 10. Patron tables for 10 are available for $1,500. Reservations can be made by calling 314-645-3300.
