BBB TORCH Winner: Callier & Thompson Kitchens, Baths and Appliances

St. Louis, Mo., September 30, 2009 – Callier & Thompson Kitchens, Baths and Appliances of Manchester is among two charities and ten businesses who are winners of TORCH Awards for exceptional ethical business practices from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Serving Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois.

Gary Callier and his brother, Dave, run the family-owned company, which they took over from their father in 1984. Their children work for the BBB Accredited Business, too, along with a cadre of long-term employees.

Callier & Thompson’s motto is “Make Me Happy,” and customers are encouraged to write suggestions or requests on a bright yellow document labeled with the motto at each work site. Gary Callier accompanies designers to a final meeting with clients to go over a punch list and present the bill.

The BBB will present the TORCH Awards at a luncheon on Friday, Oct. 30 at the Chase Park Plaza. Tickets for the luncheon are available at $40 a person, or $400 for a table of 10. Patron tables for 10 are available for $1,500. Reservations can be made by calling 314-645-3300.
