St. Louis, Mo., Sept. 23, 2010
- The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has revoked the accreditation of B & B Fencing LLC
, 1770 Gravois Road, High Ridge, Mo., for violations of the BBB’s accreditation agreement.
The BBB Board of Directors approved the expulsion Sept. 14, 2010, at the recommendation of its Ethics Committee.
B & B Fencing LLC, was notified of four customer complaints on numerous occasions between April 6, 2010, and Aug. 20, 2010. The firm failed to respond to or resolve the issues, and it sent no representatives to the Sept. 9, 2010, hearing before the Ethics Committee.
BBB Accredited Businesses are required to respond to customer complaints, to make a good-faith effort to resolve complaints, and to honor arbitration decisions. Failure to do so is considered prejudicial to the best interests of the BBB and private enterprise.BBB Standards of Accreditation
are designed to offer consumers confidence as they make purchasing decisions. Expulsion from accreditation status is unfortunate. However, the BBB takes enforcement of accreditation standards very seriously. The standards also are applied to new applicants, who can be denied accreditation if they are not in compliance.
